What this page is for
Moving a pupil from one parallel to another — 7A to 7B — without recreating their account or losing their history.
Common tasks
Move one pupil
- Find the pupil.
- Choose the destination class.
- Confirm.
They join the new class, are enrolled in its subjects, and are removed from the old one.
What follows the pupil

A mark was given by a particular teacher for a particular subject in a particular class, and it stays attached to that — the old class's journal keeps it, and its teachers still see it.
But the pupil's report card, grade grid and parent analytics follow their current class, so marks from the old one stop appearing there. Nothing is deleted; it is simply no longer part of the file you are looking at. If you need them on paper, generate the transcript before transferring.
Rules and limits
- A transfer removes the pupil from the previous parallel. They are in exactly one class per school afterwards, which is what keeps subject lists and journals correct.
- Cross-school moves are not transfers. A pupil joining a different school uses that school's join code.
- The destination must exist — create it first if the pupil is moving into a grade with no classes yet.
Troubleshooting
"The pupil still appears in the old class." Reload. If it persists, they may have had two memberships from earlier testing — transferring again cleans that up.
"Subjects are wrong after the move." The new class's assignments drive them. Check Teaching assignments for that class.
"Their marks vanished." They have not — see above. Look at the report card or the old class's journal.
"I cannot pick the destination." The class does not exist for the current academic year yet.
