Homeroom (diriginte)

Who this is for: teachers who are a class's homeroom teacher · Where: Homeroom in the sidebar.

What this page is for

The homeroom teacher is the only person who can let pupils into the class and connect their parents. If nobody does this, pupils wait indefinitely.

The tabs

Join requests

Pupils who used your class code, waiting for approval. Approve or reject, singly or in bulk.

This list is live

New requests appear on their own — you do not need to refresh. When you approve someone, they are taken into the class automatically, without having to reload.

You can also add an existing pupil directly by searching for them, which moves them from another parallel in the same school.

Parents

Parents linked to your pupils, and requests waiting to be linked. Search finds a parent by their own name or by their child's name.

Give a parent the child code for their child; see Joining a school.

Report comments

Write the report-card comment for each pupil. You can generate an AI draft first, then edit it.

The comment reaches parents only when you publish it

A draft is yours. The cost of a draft is shown before you generate it, along with what is left of your allowance.

Support plans

Individual support plans (PEI). Accommodations recorded here are fed into AI lesson generation for the class — without naming any pupil — so generated plans account for them.

Weekly reports

From the homeroom hero you can write and send a weekly summary per pupil, to the parent, the pupil, or both. The wording differs by audience. AI drafts them from the week's real activity; you edit before sending.

Rules and limits

  • One homeroom teacher per class, set by the director.
  • Approval is required — a pupil with the right code still cannot enter until you act.
  • You see your homeroom's parents only, not the whole school's.
  • Weekly reports are optional. A quiet week can simply have none.

Troubleshooting

"No join requests, but a pupil says they used the code." Check you are the homeroom teacher for that class, and that the code belongs to it. Codes can be regenerated, which invalidates the old one.

"A parent cannot see their child." The link is not approved yet, or was revoked. Check the Parents tab.

"I am not a homeroom teacher but should be." Only the director can assign that.
