When something does not work

Find your symptom below. Most have a simple cause.

Try these three things first

They fix a surprising share of problems:

  1. Reload the pageCtrl+R, or Cmd+R on a Mac.
  2. Try a private / incognito window. If it works there, the problem is old data stored in your normal browser — clear cookies for edurol.app.
  3. Try a different browser. If it works, the first browser has an extension or setting interfering.
Before contacting support

Note which screen you were on, what you clicked, and the exact wording of any message. That usually turns a long back-and-forth into a one-message fix.

"Your school is pending approval"

What it means: your login worked. The school itself has not been activated by the platform administrator yet.

What you can do: nothing in the app — this is not something the school can switch on itself. Contact [email protected] to speed it up. You are notified as soon as it is approved.

Directors: do not send invitations yet

Invitations expire after 24 hours. If approval takes longer, every invitation you sent is dead and must be sent again. Wait for approval first.

"You are not a member of any school"

Your account exists, but no school has added you.

If you are a…Likely cause
TeacherThe invitation was never sent, or you signed in with a different Google account than the one it was sent to
PupilYou have not used a class code yet, or your request is still awaiting approval
ParentYou have not linked a child yet
DirectorYou have not completed the registration wizard
The wrong-Google-account trap

This is the single most common cause for teachers. If you are signed into a personal Google account in that browser, Google may hand it over automatically. Sign out of Google, or use a private window, then pick the account your school actually invited.

a7k2-m4p9 and A7K2M4P9 are the same. Spaces and dashes do not matter. What does matter is confusing 0 (zero) with O, or 1 with I.

Tabs or menu items I used to have are gone

This is usually intentional.

For a parent: Homework and Exams disappeared

Your child has graduated. You will see an Absolvent badge where their class used to be shown.

Why: a graduated pupil is no longer on the active class roster, so anything attached to that class stops applying. Those two tabs would be permanently empty, so they are hidden rather than left blank and confusing.

Nothing has been deleted

Grades, the report card, achievements and documents are all still there, on their own tabs. It is only the two class-activity tabs that are hidden.

For a pupil: everything is locked except the catalogue

Payment for your place has not been recorded, or a subscription has expired. Your parent sees the details on their Billing screen.

Your school requires parental consent before showing your data. Your parent must confirm it in their account. Only they can unlock this.

The page is blank or stuck loading

  1. Reload.
  2. Check other websites work — if not, it is your internet.
  3. Try a private window.
  4. If it happens on one screen only, note which and report it.
Very old browsers

EduRol AI needs a browser from roughly the last three years. Internet Explorer does not work at all. If you are on an old device, update the browser first.

I get logged out constantly

An email never arrived

  1. Check Spam and Promotions.
  2. Confirm the school has your address spelled correctly.
  3. Ask for it to be sent again.
Mark the first one as "not spam"

Do that once and later messages arrive in the inbox normally.

Still stuck
