Changing the language

EduRol AI is available in Romanian, Russian and English.

How to change it

Look for the flag / globe button:

Where you areWhere the button is
Logged inAt the bottom of the left sidebar
On the login or registration pageTop right
In the setup wizard (director / teacher)Top right, next to the logo

Click it, choose your language, and the page reloads in that language.

You can change it at any time

Including in the middle of setting up your school or your teacher profile. Nothing you have typed is lost — the wizard keeps your answers and only the labels change.

It remembers your choice

Your choice is stored in your browser for a year.

Per browser, not per account

Because the setting lives in the browser, it does not follow you to another device. If you use the app on a computer and a phone, set the language on each one. Equally, another person using the same browser sees the language you chose.

What gets translated — and what does not

This is the part that surprises people most.

Always translatedNever translated
Buttons, menus, labelsYour school's name
Messages and warningsClass names (12A)
Help textSubject names your school typed in
Emails the system sendsTeacher-written homework, exam and lesson text
Report and PDF headingsPupils' names
Why your own text stays as you wrote it

The system will not machine-translate content that people at your school wrote — a teacher's exam question or a director's announcement must stay exactly as written. Only the app's own wording changes.

Subject names follow how they were created

If your director added subjects from the built-in national catalogue, they appear translated. If somebody typed them by hand, they stay in the language they were typed in. That is why you can see a Russian interface with a Romanian subject name — this is not a bug.

Emails and notifications

WhatLanguage used
Teacher invitation emailThe language the director had selected when sending it
In-app notificationsYour current language
Telegram messages (parents)The language chosen in Telegram setup
Inviting teachers in the right language

The invitation email uses the language the sender had active at that moment. If your teachers read Russian, switch to Russian before sending invitations.

If something still appears in English

The app is fully translated, but occasionally a rarely-used screen may show an English word. Please report it — say which screen and which word, and it can be fixed quickly.
