Logging in
Go to https://edurol.app and click Log in.
Step 1 — choose your role
You will see four cards: Director, Teacher, Pupil, Parent.
Click the one that matches you. Not sure? See Which role am I?.
Step 2 — sign in
Every role can use either method. You will see a Continue with Google button, then an or divider, then an email and password form. Use whichever your account was set up with.
Whichever you used when the account was created. If you are not sure, try Google first — if that tells you there is no account, use the password form, and if that fails too, use Forgot password? to set one.
Signing in with Google
- Click Continue with Google.
- Google asks which account to use. Pick the one your school knows about.
- If Google asks for your password, type it. This is your Google password — EduRol AI never sees it.
- You are returned to EduRol AI, already signed in.
If you have both a personal and a school Google account signed in on the same browser, Google may pick the wrong one automatically. If EduRol AI then says you are not a member of any school, that is usually the cause — sign out of Google, or use a private/incognito window, and choose the correct account.
Signing in with email and password
- Type the email address the school has for you.
- Type your password.
- Click Log in.
If the school registered [email protected] and you type
[email protected], login will fail even though both are yours. If you are
unsure which address the school used, ask them.
Creating an account
Click Register and pick your role. As with signing in, you can use Google or email and password.
This is the part people find surprising. An account only identifies you. Getting into a school is a separate step:
- Teachers still need the director's invitation email
- Pupils still need a class code
- Parents still need a child code
- Directors register the school themselves
So after signing up you may see "you are not a member of any school". That is normal — see Joining a school.
Confirming your email address
If you sign up with an email and password, we send you a confirmation email. You cannot log in until you click the link inside it.
Clicking that link finishes the job by itself: it confirms your address and signs you straight in. You do not go back to the login screen and type your password again — you land in the app.
You will see "Email confirmed" with a short countdown, then you are taken in automatically. If nothing moves after the countdown, use the Continue now button on that screen.
The role you chose when you registered is remembered, so after confirming you go straight to the setup screen for that role. Choosing a role does not by itself get you into a school — see Joining a school.
Confirmation and password emails very often land in Spam or Promotions. If it is not in your inbox after a minute or two, look there and mark it as "not spam" so later messages arrive normally.
The link is valid for 24 hours and works once. If you open it a second time, or after it has expired, you are told the link is no longer valid — just register again with the same address to get a fresh one.
The email never arrived
On the "check your inbox" screen there is a Resend option. It sends the confirmation email again to the same address.
You can ask for one email a minute, and a limited number per hour and per day. If you have already confirmed your address, resending sends nothing — there is nothing left to confirm, so simply log in.
Forgotten password
- On the sign-in step, click Forgot password?
- Type your email address and submit.
- Open the email and click the button inside.
- Choose a new password.
The reset link is valid for 60 minutes and works once.
If you open a link that has expired, or one you have already used, you land on a screen saying so with a Request a new link button. That is the whole fix: ask for a fresh link and open it straight away. Opening the same email twice is the most common way to see this — the first click used it up.
Even if that address has no account. This is deliberate: it stops strangers from using the form to discover whether a particular person — a pupil, a parent — has an account here. So if nothing arrives, first check your spam folder, then check you typed the right address.
To stop the form being abused to flood somebody's inbox, you can request a reset once a minute, and a limited number per hour and per day. If you hit the limit, wait a minute and try again — nothing is broken and your account is fine.
You have no password to reset. Using Forgot password? on such an account is how you add one — after that you can use either method.
Changing your password
Once signed in, go to Settings → Security. You will need your current password to set a new one.
Then your account signs in with Google only, so there is nothing to change. Use Forgot password? on the login screen to add a password.
Staying signed in
You stay signed in on that device until you log out. You do not need to log in every time you open the app.
Anyone who opens the browser afterwards would land straight in your account and see your children's or pupils' data. Use the Log out option in the sidebar when you finish.
When sign-in does not work
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Please confirm your email address first" | You signed up but never clicked the confirmation link | Open the email (check spam), or use Resend — see above |
| "This link is no longer valid" after clicking the email | The link expired, or you had already used it once | Register again with the same address to get a fresh link |
| "Invalid email or password" | Wrong address or wrong password | Check the address; use Forgot password? |
| "You are not a member of any school" | Login worked — no school has added you yet | See Joining a school. Check you used the right Google account |
| The password form never accepts you | The account may be Google-only | Use Continue with Google, or Forgot password? to add a password |
| Nothing happens when clicking Continue with Google | A pop-up blocker or extension is interfering | Allow pop-ups for edurol.app, or try another browser |
| "Your school is pending approval" | Login worked; the school is not activated yet | See Troubleshooting |
| Sent back to the login screen in a loop | Old, corrupted browser data | Log out, clear cookies for edurol.app, log in again |
If something behaves strangely, open a private / incognito window and try there. If it works, the problem is old data stored in your normal browser, not your account — clearing cookies for edurol.app will fix it.
Changing your mind mid-login
At the sign-in step there is always a Back button. It takes you to the role picker without signing you in. Nothing is saved and nothing is broken.
