What this page is for

A shelf organised subject → year → content, for material that belongs to a topic rather than to one particular lesson.

The difference from Teaching materials:

The tabs

  • Mine — yours, with the full 1–12 structure so you can file anywhere
  • School — what colleagues have added; read and open
  • Global — the cross-school pool; Copy to mine to take one

Adding

Pick the subject and the year, then either a YouTube link or a PDF — uploaded or linked. Give it a title and a description.

Sharing

Everything you add is automatically visible to your school. Global sharing is a separate switch, immediate and reversible, and needs no approval.

Global is a teacher-to-teacher pool

Pupils only ever see their own school's shelf. Sharing globally helps colleagues elsewhere; it does not publish anything to pupils outside your school.

An item you shared globally shows a "Shared by you" badge in the Global tab rather than a pointless Copy button.

Rules and limits

  • A copy is independent. It survives the original being unshared or deleted.
  • Pupils see only their own school's library, and only folders with content.
  • Empty folders are hidden from pupils but visible to you, so you can file into them.

Troubleshooting

"The Global tab is empty." Nothing has been shared globally yet. Your own school's global shares appear here too, marked as yours.

"A pupil cannot find something I added." Check the subject and year — pupils browse by those, and empty folders are hidden from them.

"I copied an item and the original disappeared." Expected and harmless. Your copy is independent.
