What this page is for
A one-way written message. Write it, choose who gets it, send it — and it arrives in their portal, as a notification, and on Telegram for parents who have connected it.
It is not a chat. Nobody can reply to an announcement. For a conversation, book a meeting.
Choosing who receives it
Two separate choices, and you make both every time you send.
Audience — parents, pupils, or both

Pupils see announcements on their dashboard and on their own Announcements page. They do not receive Telegram messages — Telegram is a parents-only channel.
Target — how wide
From widest to narrowest:

You can select several year groups or several classes at once.
For a teacher, everyone means every class you teach or are homeroom teacher of. For a director, it means the whole school. You only ever see the classes you are allowed to address, and the server checks the same boundary again when you press send — so a class that is not yours cannot be reached.
Only parents linked to a pupil are counted as parent recipients. A parent with no linked child is not on the list.
Sending
A title is optional; the body is not. The body may be up to 50,000 characters — long enough for a full letter.
After sending you see how many people it went to. That number is a snapshot taken at send time: pupils who join the class later do not retroactively receive it.
If your choices resolve to zero recipients — an empty class, or "parents" for a class where no parent is linked yet — the send is blocked with an explanation instead of quietly creating a message nobody sees.
History and recipients
Everything you have sent is listed with its date, its recipient count and who it was addressed to (for example 9A, 9B · Parents). Opening one shows exactly who received it, whether each was a pupil or a parent, and whether each parent has Telegram connected — useful for knowing whether the message likely reached a phone or is sitting unread in the portal.
Deleting
Deleting an announcement removes it everywhere: from your history, from every recipient's inbox, and the related notifications disappear too.
Someone who already read it, or received it on Telegram, has seen it. Telegram messages are not withdrawn. Treat delete as tidying up, not as a recall.
Rules and limits
- You can address the classes you teach and the class you are homeroom for. Directors reach the whole school.
- Audience and target are chosen per message — they are not fixed by role.
- Body required, up to 50,000 characters. Title optional.
- Recipients are frozen at send time.
- Zero-recipient sends are refused.
- No replies — announcements are one-way.
- Pupils never get Telegram — that channel is for parents only.
- Deleting removes it from recipients too, but does not retract Telegram messages already delivered.
Troubleshooting
"It says nobody would receive this." The audience and target combination resolves to no one. If you chose Parents, check that the pupils in that class actually have a linked parent — see Homeroom. If you chose a class, check it has active pupils.
"I cannot see a class in the list." You only see classes you teach or are homeroom teacher of. Ask your director to send to the rest of the school.
"A parent did not get the Telegram message." The recipients list shows who has Telegram connected. Those without it still have the announcement in the portal and as an in-app notification.
"Did the pupils see it?" Only if you included pupils in the audience. Choosing Parents sends to parents alone.
"Can I schedule one for later?" Not currently. Announcements send immediately.
