Announcements

Who this is for: pupils · Where: Announcements in the sidebar, and the top of your dashboard.

What this page is for

Written messages from your teachers and from the school director. A teacher might announce a changed lesson, a trip, or something to bring tomorrow; a director usually announces things that concern the whole school.

They are one-way — you read them, you cannot reply. If you need to ask something, speak to your teacher.

Where you see them

On your dashboard. The most recent announcement sits near the top, showing who sent it and when. If nobody has sent you anything, nothing appears there at all.

On the Announcements page. The full list, newest first, with filters for All, Teacher and Director. Tap one to read it in full — the list only shows the first few lines.

As a notification. The bell shows a new announcement like any other notification, and tapping it opens this page.

Who sends them

DirectorThe whole school

The sender's name and role are shown on every announcement, so you always know who it came from.

Not everything goes to everyone

Teachers and directors choose exactly who each announcement reaches — the whole school, one year group, one class, or a few named pupils. You only see the ones addressed to you. If a classmate got one and you did not, it was not sent to you.

What you will not get

  • Telegram messages. Announcements go to parents on Telegram, not to pupils. Yours are in the app.
  • Replies. There is no way to answer an announcement.
  • Older announcements from before you joined. The recipient list is fixed when the message is sent, so anything sent before you joined the class is not added to your inbox afterwards.

Rules and limits

  • You only see announcements addressed to you.
  • They are read-only — no replies, no reactions.
  • Announcements stay available even if your subscription is not paid, the same way the school journal does. A message about tomorrow being cancelled is not something to lock behind a payment.
  • A deleted announcement disappears from your list and from your notifications.

Troubleshooting

"My friend got an announcement and I did not." It was sent to specific people — a class, a year group, or named pupils — and you were not one of them. That is deliberate, not a fault.

"An announcement vanished." The teacher or director deleted it. Deleting removes it for everyone.

"The dashboard card is not showing." It only appears once you have received at least one announcement. Check the Announcements page in the sidebar.

"I cannot reply." Correct — announcements are one-way. Ask your teacher in person, or ask a parent to book a meeting with them.
