What this page is for
Your children's subscriptions. Each child is funded separately, for a 12-month period.
What each child costs
The price is set by the school, not by us, and can differ between schools. The amount for each child is shown on their row.
The three states
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Covered | Paid and active |
| Free trial | The school is inside a trial — nothing is owed |
| Not covered | Payment is needed |
During a school trial every child is covered automatically and no pay button is shown, because there is nothing to pay.
Paying
Press pay on the child's row. You are taken to the payment provider; when it completes, access is granted automatically.
If your connection drops on the way back, the payment still registers. Give it a minute and reload before trying again — paying twice is the thing to avoid.
What payment does and does not affect
Paying unlocks the pupil-facing product for that child — their portal, and the extras built on it.
It never affects the school register. Marks, attendance and the electronic journal are the school's legal obligation. Teachers keep recording them, and your child's academic record is unaffected, whatever the payment state.
You will still be told about grades and absences.
Expiry
A subscription runs 12 months. As the end approaches, a ribbon appears at the top of the portal for that child; if it lapses, the ribbon turns red and you are notified.
Notification categories in Settings cover grades, absences, homework and so on. Billing messages are not among them, so they always arrive — otherwise a subscription could lapse silently.
Refunds
Refunds are pro-rata for whole unused months. See the Terms for the exact rule.
Rules and limits
- Per child, 12 months.
- The school sets the price.
- A school trial covers everyone, with no payment.
- Non-payment never blocks the register or hides marks from you.
- Billing notifications cannot be disabled.
Troubleshooting
"I paid and it still says not covered." Give it a minute and reload — access follows the provider's confirmation. If it persists after a few minutes, contact support with the payment reference rather than paying again.
"Why can I not pay?" The school is inside a free trial. There is nothing owed.
"My child lost access." The subscription expired. The ribbon and notification say which child.
"Can I pay for several children at once?" Each is a separate subscription and is paid on its own row.
"The price changed." The school sets it. A change applies to new subscriptions, not retroactively to one already bought.
