What this page is for
A written message to parents, pupils, or both. It arrives in their portal, as a notification, and on Telegram for parents who have connected it.
It is one-way. Nobody can reply.
Choosing who receives it
Two separate choices, and you make both every time you send.
Audience — parents, pupils, or both

Pupils see announcements on their dashboard and on their own Announcements page. They never receive Telegram messages — that channel is for parents only.
Target — how wide

You can select several year groups or several classes at once.
A message that only concerns one class should go to that class. Sending everything school-wide trains families to ignore announcements, and the next genuinely important one gets less attention.
Only parents linked to a pupil are counted as parent recipients. An account with no linked child is not a recipient.
Sending
A title is optional; the body is not, up to 50,000 characters.
After sending you see the recipient count. That is a snapshot taken at send time — families who join next week do not receive it retroactively.
If your choices resolve to zero recipients — an empty class, or Parents for a class where nobody is linked yet — the send is blocked with an explanation instead of quietly creating a message nobody sees.
History and recipients
Everything you have sent, with dates, counts and who it was addressed to (for example 9A, 9B · Parents). Opening one lists exactly who received it, whether each was a pupil or a parent, and whether each parent has Telegram connected. Before you have sent anything, this section is a simple empty state rather than a list.
That Telegram column is the useful one: parents without it only see the message if they open the portal. If reach matters, check it before assuming a message landed.
Deleting
Deleting removes the announcement from your history, from every recipient's inbox, and takes the related notifications with it.
Anyone who already read it, or received it via Telegram, has seen it. Telegram messages are not withdrawn.
Rules and limits
- Directors can address the whole school; teachers are limited to the classes they teach or are homeroom for.
- Audience and target are chosen per message.
- Body required, 50,000 characters maximum.
- Recipients frozen at send time.
- Zero-recipient sends are refused.
- Pupils never get Telegram — that channel is for parents only.
- No replies, no scheduling.
Troubleshooting
"The recipient count is lower than my parent list." Only parents with an active link to a pupil count.
"It says nobody would receive this." The audience and target combination resolves to no one — most often Parents for a class whose families are not linked yet. See Parents.
"Parents say they never saw it." Check the Telegram column. Without it, the message waits in the portal until they log in.
"Did the pupils see it?" Only if you included pupils in the audience. Choosing Parents sends to parents alone.
"Can I schedule it for tomorrow morning?" No — announcements send immediately.
