Meetings with teachers

Who this is for: parents · Where: Class meetings in the sidebar, and the Meetings tab on your child's profile.

There are two different things here.

A private call with one teacher

From your child's profile, each subject shows the teacher and a Book meeting button — available when that teacher has switched availability on.

You get a month calendar: each day shows how many free slots it has, and tapping a day reveals its times. Pick one, optionally add a note explaining what you would like to discuss, and send the request.

The teacher then approves or declines. A declined request may come with a reason, and the slot is released for another parent.

The Google Meet link becomes visible 15 minutes before the start and stays until 30 minutes after the meeting should have ended.

Not a bug — a safety rule

Outside that window the link is not sent to your browser at all. A permanent meeting link left visible for weeks could be joined by anyone who found it, at any time, including during a lesson.

Open the page around the appointment and the Join button will be there.

The class parent meeting (adunare)

One meeting for all the parents in your child's class, proposed by the homeroom teacher.

You either:

  • Accept the proposed time, or
  • Decline and say when you are free — weekday plus a time range, as many windows as you like

Stating real availability is what lets the teacher find a time that works. A plain decline gives them nothing to work with.

The teacher may then confirm that time, or reschedule.

Rescheduling reopens the question

If the teacher moves the meeting, your answer resets to "waiting" and you will be asked again — but the free windows you already gave are kept, so you do not have to re-enter them.

Once confirmed you get the joining details.

Rules and limits

  • One-to-one: only with teachers who teach your child and have availability switched on.
  • The link is time-gated, both kinds.
  • Class meetings run 12:00–21:00 — afternoon and evening only.
  • You cannot propose a class meeting; the homeroom teacher does.
  • Declining a class meeting without free windows helps nobody.

Troubleshooting

"There is no Book meeting button." That teacher has not switched availability on. Ask them, or contact the school.

"No free days in the calendar." Every published slot is taken, or none is published yet. Check back.

"My request was declined." The reason, if the teacher gave one, is shown with it. Book another slot.

"I cannot see the Join button." Check the time — see the window above.

"I accepted but the time changed." The teacher rescheduled. Everyone's answer reset; your stated free windows were kept.
